Historical fiction series. Seven women tell their tales of life and love in old Yorkshire. Brontë Country awaits you.linktr.ee/women_of_old_y… Yorkshire, EnglandJoined September 2021
Is there anybody who enjoys reading/writing historical fiction about people who aren’t nobility … just regular people of times gone by and their lives and loves?
As I’ve gone through life I’ve realised we can have flaws and still be a good person. Over the eight years I wrote the six tales I aimed to give you a slice of authentic Yorkshire life albeit in days gone by … and with warts and all 😊
Have a cosy weekend.

The next free download day of The Fifty Lost Christmases of Dolly Hunter is today and now I have five reviews to show you 😊. I hope you might enjoy a new vintage Yorkshire Christmas tale which is set in the 1970s and the present day. Link below ✨⭐️✨

I hope like me you love this time of year. A new Grimm-style fairytale set in 1920s Yorkshire awaits you on these spooky nights. Perhaps Delfina might help you discover you’re not as easily spooked as you think! Have a fun Halloween 😊

I was filming a little video for Delfina, a new grown-up fairytale and something magical happened. I noticed the candle wax had melted into the shape of an angel. Some can see it, some can’t so perhaps it depends if you believe in magic…and angels 😊
It’s so lovely when someone reaches out to help when you’re starting out. Deborah Swift has included a blog on her website for my 1970s Yorkshire Christmas novel if you’d like to take a peek. Thank you Deborah, it warmed my heart that you got in touch.

The last book in the series to tell you about is The Calling of Highbrook which is Nell and William’s dark tale of love in the depths of the Yorkshire moors. Their son, Albert tells his tale as an adult in part two. If you read any of the books, thank you

Those of us who have never lived through a war should be truly thankful. This amazing man, who experienced conflict as a boy, manages to pull out some positives. It's no wonder he inspired me to write The Olive Grove.

Everyone loves Pip Metcalfe as she’s gentle and kind and in turn everyone hates her mother, Orla who left the family. When Orla is found dead four years later, with a village full of people who hate her, finding the killer is no easy task. Only one more book to go 😊(Link in bio)
If you’re looking for a historical romance book to curl up with then you might enjoy The Strangers in Me. All books are set at minimum price for at least October. Part of the Women of Old Yorkshire series. (Link in bio). If you take a peek .. thank you 🤍
After eight years of writing, the series is finally published. Perhaps you might enjoy Little Robin’s tale of love in Victorian Yorkshire. Link in bio to website or on Amazon (KDP/Paperback). Thank you so much if you would and a very happy weekend to everyone 🤍
Delfina is a woman struggling with regret after a mistake she made as a young girl has dire consequences. When two men become obsessed with her, she reaches breaking point. Can a stranger in the woods help her one long night before the New Year is upon them? Link in bio.
Marketing is scaring the life out of me but I’m trying to have fun with it too. As for Dolly Hunter, will she take the pot of gold lying in wait for her failing Yorkshire town after fifty years, or will she always be resistant and even suspicious of change?
(In KDP/paperback).
I hope to give you a real feel for Dolly and the other characters in The Fifty Lost Christmases of Dolly Hunter. The tale is set in 1970s Yorkshire and the present day, and gives us a different kind of Christmas magic with a sprinkling of grit and a dash of darkness in the mix.
In December 1973 Dolly Hunter is fourteen and suffers a tragedy in her small Yorkshire town. Christmas is cancelled thereafter for Dolly for fifty years. When a young woman rolls into town she knows far more about Dolly than she could ever imagine. I hope to spread the magic 🌟
I have written six historical romance books over seven years about the lives and loves of real women. They’re set in and around Brontë Country and getting five-star reviews, if you would like to read them. If you would, thank you.
