I don’t know anything about this. But there are several people at Scala headquarters being funded to develop “capabilities” in Scala. Flavio did by himself for fun. I’m sure a lot of people are not happy.

There’s a whole class of jobs living off programmers. I’ve never seen a successful product being built with layers and layers of people between the users and the development and management of the software. But I’ve seen some successful products being killed by such layers.

At what point in time did management decide that the guys that created the programs were not able to deploy, manage, and monitor them? Was that at the same time that they found out that programmers couldn’t also talk with clients and needed “BAs” in the middle?
