Never forget that Australians giddily handed in their guns and mocked Americans who warned them against trusting their government.
@johncardillo Yes, and we don't have mass shootings, guns everywhere, or an issue with guns. It's rather nice here.
@johncardillo And the New Zealanders!
@johncardillo "I compared deaths in Australia & the U.S. for mass shootings, which are defined as a shooting having more than 5 victims. Since the restrictions imposed in 1996, there have been no mass shootings in Australia. In the US in 2020 alone there were 611 mass shootings." Randal Upton
@johncardillo Although true, they got less than a 30% turn in rate (src = Ausie friend). Meaning there are still plenty of guns in Australia. The problem is not the lack of guns, but that most Australians are the offspring of prisoners and prison guards and this is the resulting dynamic.
@johncardillo 3.5 million registered guns in Aus. I guess not seeing ur kids get shot & killed at school does make you feel a little bit giddy. We never forget that the US saw 28 preschool kids get murdered & just shrugged their shoulders, because apparently guns mean more to u than children
@johncardillo @RichardViguerie It wasn't even all that long ago.
@johncardillo @PaulNeirynck Current ammo prices we are all fucked.
