Some thoughts: - Guessing booster lost orientation control? Excited for more details - Insane it structurally survived this insane orientation - It did like two loops... unreal - What a day! More photos + order prints → johnkrausphotos.com/Galleries/Laun…
@johnkrausphotos If you can see all the engines, as in this photo, it's pointed upward.
@johnkrausphotos I'm not surprised. Extreme manoeuvr. Literally trying to control an Eiffel tower from one end while positioned against its t. velocity. They'd have to use positioning thrusters (or w/e they're called) on the Starship which probably wasn't programmed to when fully stacked
@johnkrausphotos What's truly amazing, is those clamps between the booster and ship held!
@johnkrausphotos Awesome pics sir!!! That is one big MF rocket Elon!!!
@johnkrausphotos This was just a TEST. It was not expected to go as far as it did. This was a first launch of a first rocket of its kind. It was intended to only be a test liftoff. Not a full flight
@johnkrausphotos They uploaded Boring Co. guidance software!
@johnkrausphotos What an incredible day for @SpaceX, it’s such a major historical moment in history for a non government company to achieve a magnificent task nobody else is trying to achieve. I look forward to the next launch
