@htomufc The second we ditch this obsession with proving we can play patient, possession-based football, the better we will look. It nullifies the strengths of the squad, and it’s boring af anyway.

The United way should be about pace, power, penetration, and unpredictability. This was like watching over 50s walking football. Worst of all it’s boring af. #muneve

I thought I was create a little thread, bringing together some of my favourite and lovliest Autochrome shots taken in Egypt over 100 years ago. The first is a striking portrait taken on Elephantine Island in the Nile river at Aswan, Egypt, on Monday 19th January 1914. The photo was taken in colour by Auguste Léon using an early colour glass-plate process. It isn't colourised.

@AdvFtbAcad 3v3 yes, but these small pitches with inflatable boundaries not necessarily. Age/skill level, can be a factor but there other formats of 3v3 e.g. larger pitches with 4 goals and no hard boundaries that can be much better.

All hail @PrivateEyeNews Brilliant story about how one of the proposed new owners of Thames Water is offering up a £25 million "Community Benefit Trust" (CBT) to "support" local environment and community groups but only on condition that TW are exempt from environment law and any threat of prosecution for at least the next 5 years. In other words we'll pay a £25 million bribe to local river groups and charities to shut them up, it's hush money, it's blood money, it's a bride. The Evenlode Catchment Partnership (ECP) knows better of course, they've already handed back £135K to Thames Water after they realised they were simply been used and the only people benefiting from the arrangement was Thames Water. Other river charities would do well to follow ECP's example, don't accept the hush money, don't accept the blood money, it is after all nothing more than a bribe.

We've had enough of the GREED, CORRUPTION and FINANCIAL ENGINEERING. "All of that has got to stop". We completely agree with @Feargal_Sharkey. Time for a referendum on water ownership. vist.ly/4y4v3

Most of us want to see our water back in public hands, but never actually had a say. That’s why I’m backing the Sewage Campaign Network’s petition for a referendum on water ownership.

Let’s reach as many people as we can: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7626…

How do we bring water into public ownership? @Feargal_Sharkey explains on Channel 4 News tonight 👇🤩🤩🤩 He is backing the new petition from @WindrushWasp.bsky.social calling for a referendum so the public can decide 82% of us support PUBLIC OWNERSHIP

Woop woop! @Feargal_Sharkey totally nails it on Channel 4 News just now 🔥🔥🔥 Calling for a REFERENDUM so the public can decide whether to bring water into public ownership Alongside @WindrushWasp + local sewage groups SIGN THE PETITION if you agree 👇 petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7626…

"Sewage spilled into Devon river for more than 100 days 'These statistics are absolutely shocking, but they are only the tip of the iceberg'. It's been 638 days since the last general election and what's changed in the water industry? devonlive.com/news/devon-new…

😍Feargal Sharkey's absolutely right. Public ownership of water is a no-brainer, And 82% of the public agrees. vist.ly/4ww54

Named and shamed, the water company fat cats that refuse to explain themselves in pubic. And we put up with this nonsense. Time to take back control. Time for public ownership.

@Feargal_Sharkey This is the level of contempt the water bosses have for us all

Water companies are ruining our seaside, prison is the only deterrent. Last yr illegally dumped raw sewage on more than 15,000 occasions. Execs rewarded, dividends paid, customers fleeced. No one held to account. Criminal activity exceeds that of mafia. archive.ph/KOPMK

I've always found this incredible useful. An easy guide to exactly how much sh*t your local water company is in. Southern Water customer, 27% of your bill it doing nothing but paying interest on their stinking pile of debt. Thames Water, 28%, Anglian Water, 24% and on, and on, and on.......... weownit.org.uk/get-involved/p…

Wow. On Tuesday 107 MPs met frontline sewage campaigners, including those featured in Channel 4’s 'Dirty Business', to hear directly about their experience and what needs to change. Campaigners, including prominent figures like @Feargal_Sharkey, had one clear message: it’s time for public ownership.

What a fantastic event... 107 MPs coming to hear about the Dirty Business that is the water industry. Time to end the corruption, time to end the greed, time for a new approach, time for public ownership.

"Welsh Water set to pay out £44.7m over sewage spills Ofwat said it found “serious and unacceptable” breaches in Welsh Water’s sewage works systems and operations." And here's the really scary part in all of this, none of this, none of it would have come to light had it not been for you, the general public, you're the heroes in all of this, the ones that stand in our rivers, that are prepared to be counted, that are prepared to hold authority to account. My respect. 👏👏👏 independent.co.uk/news/business/…

Our rivers are dying and these are the people responsible, these people in charge. In Dec last year the Office for Environmental Protection ruled that Defra, Ofwat and the EA have been breaking the law. What has the Secretary of State done about any of that? Appears she know's nothing and has done nothing. 😡

A simple enough question… Does the Secretary of State consider the EA response is adequate? Thanks to the Committee chair who had to intervene to press for a clear answer.
