The government does need to find a way forward for NHS staff pay and recruitment. There are too many vacancies and too few hospital beds and doctors appointments to cope with demand.
@johnredwood That’s certainly true John! Maybe get all your mates to return the £billions of public money pocketed from all the Tory greed stealing schemes and use it to pay the doctors and nurses and public workers a decent wage!
@johnredwood They need people on the wards not in classrooms.I trained in 70's. After a few weeks training you went straight to the wards with periodical weeks in the classroom for more training..There needs to be less part time staff..
@johnredwood And Brexit is partly to blame for this, as well as underpaying NHS staff and carers. Who is to blame for that?
@johnredwood Oh really? Do tell me why there are so many vacancies? I am not against paying nurses more, but once again the tax payer has to pick up the bill for your xenophobic Tory nationalism - our place is in the EU. The damage you have caused is almost incalculable.
@johnredwood The government needs to find better MPs who do not wreak the health service we all rely on. You lot are totally sackable.
@johnredwood Wow you finally realise, but surely it was obvious
@johnredwood I remember when someone came up with the ‘clever’ idea to reduce beds, because people just want to get sick more if they (the beds) are there
@johnredwood Are you going to cross the floor, Redwood?
@johnredwood How about reducing that demand by executing a manifesto pledge to reduce immigration to the tens of thousands?
@johnredwood We need a whole new system of health focusing on prevention not firefighting acute illness when its almost too late. Buying cheaper drugs might help too. How come the NHS pays x4 the price for painkillers that you can get in Tesco
