Scotland imposed unrealistic net zero targets, claiming moral superiority. They have now had to dump many of them as reality strikes home. Why do they think they can hit the 2045 one when they cannot meet the earlier ones? When will they take into account consumer wishes?
@johnredwood Denialistic fossil fuel funded Tory unaffected by climate change by 2045 as unlikely to be around - says what. This highlights the very reason that the Tory Party are in disarray and disappearing from politics - no forethought , no future , just arrogant dismissal
@johnredwood Proportional representation parliaments always lead to a bad type of coalition government. The SNP and the Greens. The Scottish parliament was a bad idea.
@johnredwood Particularly when net zero is a scam designed by trillionaires for trillionaires at the expense of the people.
@johnredwood Who would have thought under snp they got in a muddle with numbers
@johnredwood This Net Zero needs to be scrapped altogether before it destroys jobs.
@johnredwood End Net Zero John The majority of us don't want EVs and Heat pumps and certainly don't want to be paying extra tax to subsidise middle class virtue signallers expensive cars It madness and only @reformparty_uk is offering a choice @BBCPolitics @GBNEWS
@johnredwood anyone in authority who takes account of consumer wishes would be good.
@johnredwood It’s easy for politicians to make big claims about things they won’t then be here to answer for. Thatcher to avoid strikes and a big pay rise, offered nurses in 1980 a good pension deal. I am one who benefited from that. But Thatcher herself, isn’t here to pay it.
@johnredwood When will government take account of our wishes John and give us referendum on net zero? This was agreed in UN then forced on U.K. in all party manifesto, we got this whoever we voted for, Net zero has no democratic legs.
