@LadyJayPersists For the life of me, why do we have military bases named after Generals who were on the losing side?
@johnwallencheck @LadyJayPersists Military bases are often named by locals. In southern states they were sometimes named after confederates because the locals wanted it. There used to be nine - Ft Benning, Ft Bragg, Ft Gordon, Ft Hill, Ft Hood, Ft Lee, Ft Pickett, Ft Polk and Ft Rucker. All were renamed.
