Community health workers (CHWs) are the backbone of health systems. They deliver testing, treatment, & care to even the most remote communities; & are often the first to detect & respond to disease outbreaks. @GlobalFund has invested more than US$1.5 billion in CHWs since 2020.
As the foundation of strong and resilient health system, #CHWs play an important role in vaccine education. CHWs in our Hospital to Home programme provide families with education on the importance of immunisations as part of follow-up home visits. #WorldImmunizationWeek

@join_chic Exactly, ProCHWs have done alot in the Community but were not recognized, were not compensated , just remember the initial Home Based Care with CRS, they have done alot, thanks for this recognition and intervention by this Umbrella... Healthy Community is Healthy lives
