BREAKING - A group of House Republicans has filed a discharge petition to put the amendment that increases the threshold for constitutional amendments on the floor.
If the majority of members in the House sign this petition (now in clerks office), it goes around Speaker Jason Stephens. And the resolution that requires 60% approval for constitutional amendments to pass in the future could go on the ballot for Ohio voters to decide.
@joingles Apparently a couple of them can’t follow simple instructions!! 😐😐
@joingles Young Nicky doesn't know the difference between print and signature and here he is making decisions for women of ohio
@joingles They are desperate to not let the voters decide.
@joingles Republicans filing this discharge petition need 51 members of the Ohio House to sign to force a vote on the proposal to require 60% voter approval for constitutional amendments. There are 67 Republicans in the House but it’s unclear how many support this plan
