I've thought for awhile that an underrated reason for voter discontent right now is that we're all dealing with a kind of pandemic PTSD, which is also why so many people seem to have a collective amnesia about 2020 that's benefiting Trump.
Then I read @EricKlinenberg's excellent book, 2020, about how that awful year has shaped our politics and our country in ways we haven't yet grappled with. I talked to him for this week's Offline, and it was a fantastic conversation that I highly recommend
