Unconvinced last week’s timely attacks on Anthony Griffin were in the interests of journalism. Why aren’t other coaching candidate on the market subject to the same level of scathing assessment? Many don’t have the same runs of the board as Griffin, and yet barely a word . . .

Why does Craig Fitzgibbon keep knocking back @NRL head coaching gigs that any other assistant would covet? I suspect @sydneyroosters have locked in a succession plan, with Fitzy guaranteed to take over from Trent Robinson in a year or two.

JAC and LM haven’t hurt or offended anyone. Yet their crime is worse IMO: the type breathtaking arrogance and selfishness that puts others at risk. This is about attitude. For supposed team players, their attitude is pathetic. They don’t deserve the privilege of playing.

Strange there’s no mention of current ratings for @FOXSportsAUS programs in this story. Can’t imagine they’d be doing much better without any live content to discuss . . . As such, it reads as a gratuitous and harsh carve up of @BigSportsBrekky @MClarke23 The question is: WHY?

Difficult to get a true and objective analysis of the NRL’s intention to resume next month when ALL major newspapers that cover the game are owned by media companies with an increasingly desperate financial interest to bring footy back.
