My local recycler has guidance that not all plastics are recycled, noting that "only bottles, jugs and tubs should be put into your recycle cart" I have no idea what is included in "jugs" or "tubs"

I have to believe there are companies who would do this for a lot less and still make a tidy profit. My guess is that the process of becoming an "approved" (gov) supplier is onerous, and if so, well this is what happens.

OK.. I can see this working. If someone can figure out how to remove the face screen when you look at someone else wearing it (e.g. use AI to recreate their face without the mask), it starts to get compelling. I don't want to have a conversation with a cartoon.

I remain confused by Meta's foray into the metaverse. 98.5% of Facebook access is via mobile (statista.com/statistics/377…), so doesn't that mean we already know that sitting at home with a screen on your face is a tough sell? Does the metaverse work on mobile?

I'm sure Airbnb could adjust their search index to present the full price when searching, rather than popping out of the bushes at the checkout page. There are probably lots of reasons they don't, but I'm skeptical any of those reasons are for the end user.
