In 2011, I tweeted about a side project (riak_zab) leading to argv0 (miss you bud) DM'ing about a job at Basho. I left grad school to join a dist sys rocket ship. Built amazing things. Gave/heard amazing talks at RICON. Inspired others. Still cherish that time. TY Twitter 1.0

Went to NJPW G1 Climax show in Dallas (*amazing* pro-wrestling show, btw), ran into Okada, Kevin Kelly, and Rocky Romero at hotel bar after. Trip def. worth it.

Really wonder if Basho 2.0 could be a thing. Given a different playbook, is there any money to be made from a laser-focus on extreme reliability and fault-tolerance in 2018?
