Israel-Zionism is NOT a matter of colonialism, though there were settlers. Jews returned to their ancestral homeland. Jews are not Europeans, though many migrated from Europe, in addition to the Middle East, Asia, Africa.

That is perhaps the worst thing Hamas has done. They have - intentionally and strategically - drawn us into a situation where people are killed at our hands. And we are supposed to explain it. It's all so sick psychologically, and inhumane, and disgusting.

Are we Israelis not saddened by the thousands of Gazans dying? Of course we are, but, to be honest, we are not too sympathetic, we are distanced... We are authentically certain, it's too obvious, that it is on Hamas. We don't think of it as our doing.

For people around the world, hearing about thousands of Gazans dying is inconceivable. Then Israeli advocates go around explaining why it is okay - they attacked us, international law permits, our IDF is so moral... which sounds worse, like excuses.

Contrary to much pro-Israel advocacy, I disagree with the distinction between Zionism and Jews/Judaism. The large majority of Jews are Zionist supporters. Anti-Israel/Zionism is indeed Anti-semitism. And the large majority of Palestinians support Hamas.

The International Court of Justice did not find Israel guilty. Israel abides by international law in its warfare. If one has an accusation of a specific case, then be specific... Otherwise, revert to the previous options - you may be racist or pacifist.

In order to militarily defeat our enemies, we are forced to engage in warfare on their turf in the way that they prepared - among civilians. It is clear and evident that they chose this - because they prepared for precisely THIS type of warfare!
