India has announced the least fiscal stimulus (1%) and imposed the strictest policies to counter #Covid19India . This is not sustainable. Government will have to spend significantly more to counter the scourge of mass unemployment and loss of livelihood. “Whatever it takes!”

India's online grocers, from Amazon Pantry to Big Basket, stopped delivering a week ago and have still not resumed taking new orders because of constraints placed by local authorities. Isn't a week long enough for such authorities, however inept, to get their act together?

China earned a bad name for high-handedness to enforce the COVID lock-down. Now, out-of-control policemen are bringing the same shame to India. Shows nothing’s changed with this ‘lathi’ mindset for a 100+ years. The fleeing poor need compassion, not punishment.

Essence of Telecom Sector Relief announced yesterday. Spectrum dues for next 2 yrs: Deferred & spread over balance period. NPV impact zero. Next due date was Apr 2020 Relief from SC AGR order: "Not under consideration". Amount: Rs 1.47 tn and counting. Due in Jan 2020.

CBI has charged Chidambaram in the INX media case for taking a bribe of ₹10 lacs. The rumour is, CBI wanted to quote a bigger amount but Sambit Patra objected to it. "Aap log toh likh le nikal loge, TV pe hume batana padta hai kitne zero hain" Patra said.
