My thing is that if you ever ordered anything off Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc. you should absolutely be supporting the well-being of the people who deliver your food. thestar.com/news/gta/this-…
I don't use the apps but knowing how janky Toronto streets are, and that global warming is making the weather bananas, these couriers are putting up with a lot for little pay

@karonliu While I pick up all my take-out in person, I still tip as I would if I was to dine inside. If the topic of tipping comes up on Reddit, you wouldn't believe how many TO Redditors do not want to tip anybody. 🤣 Especially not for take-out, or at coffee shops.
@karonliu We need some kind of community healing process here in Chinatown. I've seen bike couriers run a lot of old asian ladies off the sidewalks - im not more in solidarity with e bike couriers then I am with the often low income or immigrant people who live in this neigbourhood
@karonliu Nobody really wants their food delivered via bike on a cold rainy day, and we really shouldn't normalize people making far less than minimum wage it's on Uber for letting ANYONE sign up and having such little consideration for both paying customers and people using it for $.
