A hasty city of Hamilton decision to locate Tiny Homes in North End with no consultation is now threatening the Jamesville Housing project. Developers are asking city to defer decision and consult with stakeholders. More to come in Bay Observer. #hamont#tinyhomes @JoeyColeman
@kathyrenwald @JoeyColeman I’ve seen the letter. The developer is not saying that the project is at risk. The closest thing they say is that, “Without proper consultation, there is a risk of consequences that could negatively affect both residents and businesses alike for the foreseeable future”.
@kathyrenwald @JoeyColeman The location was chosen without consent of Neighbourhood residents. The decision of top down and this is not democracy. The neighbourhood people should not suffer becuase folks in city council have strong opinions. NENA should take strong stand against this
@kathyrenwald @JoeyColeman Could something actually get done before the winter for a change ?
@kathyrenwald @JoeyColeman The developer will always find an excuse not to build, apparently.
@kathyrenwald @JoeyColeman That why we pay them the big bucks! With 14% pay increases just because George in Brampton got one. Not one bit of proof of justification for these outrageous increases.
@kathyrenwald @JoeyColeman It’s one of the worst places they could have chosen. We have industrial lands available why out it at Bayfront Park, one of our most beautiful spots. @AndreaHorwath
@kathyrenwald @JoeyColeman I hope those who voted for this Councillor are happy. Shanty Towns in Hamilton, welcome to the third world.
