Folks out here trying to argue the Bears aren't good at getting after the QB despite leading the league in sacks. They don't have a high number of pressures but they also get home a lot.
It is a prime example of looking simply at the numbers. They don't have as many pressures as other teams, but to say they aren't good at getting after the QB is just wrong.
@MattEurich Is their pressure-to-sack conversion rate sustainable and should we expect their sack rate to decrease if their pressure rate does not increase? The Bears have turned 45% (Mack: 71%!) of pressures into sacks. Last year the top team in this measure was the Rams at 36%
@kbannon That's a great question. Likely not sustainable at this rate. It makes sense that the 45% percent is about the peak for them this season. I'm guessing it will eventually even itself out.
@MattEurich Yes, I just hope it evens out due to "more pressures" not "fewer sacks"
