An Illinois mom was home alone with her infant late at night when paroled burglar Shelby Hurd forced entry into her Joliet home. She hid the baby in a bedroom closet, armed herself with a handgun, and shot him in the head as he entered the room. Police found Hurd wearing gloves and carrying a screwdriver. He had a history of burglary convictions and had only been released on parole months earlier. Nice aim. The woman, who remains anonymous, cooperated with investigators and faces no charges. Police treated it as a justified self-defense shooting. This is a prime example why we don’t give up our guns.

Two former senior FBI officials, Nikki Cole Floris and Bradley Benavides, were taken into custody today on charges of allegedly lying to Congress about their involvement in the FBI’s investigations into Hunter Biden. The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the since-dissolved FBI Foreign Influence Task Force. Floris led the FITF as a Deputy Assistant Director from mid-2019 through mid-2022. Benavides was the FITF Section Chief from mid-2019 through the 2020 election. Both testified that the FITF was not involved in the Hunter Biden investigations. Documentary evidence, contemporaneous communications, and witness accounts contradict their testimony. Floris is also on record privately claiming to be “running a shadow government” during the 2020 election in her role on the FITF. 🚨 DISGUSTING: Police say a man took a SLEDGEHAMMER to the Iwo Jima statue outside Marine Corps Base Quantico and knocked the HEAD off one of the Marines. Officers say they caught 27-year-old Miguel Alonso Maldonado Soriano "actively damaging" the monument Wednesday night. Damage is estimated in the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars. He's charged with felony injury to a monument and felony destruction of property, and he's being held without bond. Those Marines bled on Iwo Jima so this country would stay free. Throw the book at him.
