I will be working on getting a public announcement & petition together to get a new director that embraces no kill in the shelter
You CANNOT justify that. I demand change. And I think everyone else should too. I did not last long as a kennel tech but it did open my eyes
and that every life is precious when your killing animal after animal, despite empty cages, despite rescue offers to take them, etc.
Your shelter directors need to quit accepting killing as an option, it isnt acceptable, & how can you preach that animals are irreplacable
EMPTY cages, they kill animals by simply labeling them "unadoptable" because they need some vet care, or are scared, or simply sneeze!
for EVERY life they kill, they have blamed the public for far to long, they kill when there are alternatives to killing, when there are
EVERYONE needs to read redemption myth of the pet overpopulation my own experiences confirm this, the shelters need to be held accountable
dont be afraid to share the cold hard truth, thats what the public needs to help create change! Education is key!
if you want to help and make a difference foster for a rescue to pull these guys or adopt! please share, they need us!
donations of toys and blankets dont even get used over half the time for a good majority of the animals at this shelter..
whats on my mind? had to help pull gerbil sized kittens from their mom for euthanasia today eyes werent even open,due to no foster home.

Instead of hiding the reality of the disaster we should be showing just how bad it is, only then will the public be moved to change.
Those exact actions are the ones that the news should be coming in and filming! That the public should be seeing and moved to action by!
The pulling for euthanasias, the trying to keep it out of the public view, that is all on me and that is something I will have to live with.
