🔥 Putin’s Ukraine War Is Taking a Devastating toll on Rosneft, — Bloomberg ▪️ Ukrainian drones have carried out at least 114 strikes on Russian refineries since the beginning of the year. ▪️In September, Ukrainian strikes damaged 5 of the company’s 15 plants in European Russia. ▪️Sanctions are further complicating the situation by limiting access to spare parts, forcing Rosneft to rely on Russian counterparts and Chinese imports that can take months to obtain and are not always compatible with existing equipment. ▪️The company’s financial losses are mounting. Rosneft’s net profit fell by almost a fifth in the first half of the year to 200 billion rubles ($2.4 billion). ▪️Rosneft’s problems coincided with signs of financial difficulties at PJSC Credit Bank of Moscow, which market participants and officials consider part of the sphere of influence of Sechin and his oil giant.
