99% of people including many in the comments blaming him will do the exact same thing. Everyone loves taking risk on social media until it’s actually time to do it in real life.

“I lost $70M because I asked my boss to pay my salary instead of taking 5% equity. I had a family to feed and a mortgage to pay. When the company’s IPO launched, the other workers got $70 M. I only got a ‘thank you’ and the company car” 😂 —Paul Onwuanibe

The way software gets built is changing. The cloud should too. Excited to back InstaCloud as they build the agent-native cloud. Congrats on the $8M seed 🚀

We just raised an $8M seed round to kill AWS, GCP, and Azure. Introducing instacloud.com, the agent-native serverless cloud. Your team is shipping code like never before. But you're getting caught up in manual, tedious DevOps work trying to deploy it. InstaCloud

My conspiracy theory (which is no conspiracy theory at all) is that Nigerians are being burdened with low quality problems by design. That’s the structure. This is how things are to be. How do you tell someone operating on survival mode to look beyond their current reality?

How to land your next role on LinkedIn. Away from all the performative comments and "I am thrilled to announce" shenanigans, LinkedIn is one of the best spaces to search for your next role, but most people do it the wrong way. A lot of people see job adverts and just click apply, add CV, submit, and hope for the best. Most times this doesn’t yield the best outcome. I want to share how I landed my last two roles on LinkedIn. 1. Profile optimisation - Your LinkedIn profile must have keywords, skills, or titles that are relevant to the type of roles you want to get into. Most recruiters have their own search function and are able to reach out to you directly. Granted, some of them are lazy and just reach out randomly to offer roles that don’t match your experience or are way below your current grade. 2. Notifications - Set up notifications for the specific job title and location where you want a role. Often, this brings roles you wouldn’t ordinarily think of or search for straight into your email inbox. 3. Early Applications - For most roles, once it’s past 100 people that have applied, I usually don’t stress unless I know I am a perfect fit, and I will still take some additional steps. So when I search directly on LinkedIn, I apply a filter for roles posted within the last 24 hours. This way, you will always be among the first set of CVs the recruiters review. As someone who has recruited people previously, there’s an advantage to being an early applicant, especially when companies are looking to fill the role quickly. 4. Referrals - If you see a role in a company, before applying, check if you have any mutual connections working there. If not, still go through the list of employees and reach out to people directly. Make your message short, include the LinkedIn link to the role, add your CV, and ask them to refer you. You can even add a “blurb” they can use if needed. I have done this a couple of times for people. Guess what? Most companies pay their staff referral bonuses, so it’s a win-win. 5. Recruiters reach out - Some roles are posted directly by the HR of the companies or recruiters. Reach out to them and let them know you have applied for the role and are interested. 6. Easy Apply - Look out for these roles as they make it easy for you to apply in numbers. Depending on the career stage you are in, only spend additional time filling out applications if you know you tick most of the boxes. 7. CV versions - If you are considering different role profiles, keep different versions of your CV on hand so you can upload the most appropriate one. 8. The "Inmail" Hiring Manager Strategy Instead of just applying or messaging recruiters, find the actual hiring manager (e.g., the Lead Engineer, Marketing Director, or Team Lead for that department). Send a brief, high-value connection request or message expressing genuine interest in their team's work, mentioning one specific thing you admire about their team/company, and letting them know you applied. 9. Strategic Content Engagement Don't just lurk around, comment meaningfully on posts by companies, leaders, or recruiters in your niche. Adding insightful observations in comment sections builds passive familiarity. When your name pops up on an application later, or when you message them directly, you're no longer a cold stranger. 10. Turn On "Open to Work" (Privately) Enable the "Open to Work" feature, but set it to "Recruiters Only" if you are currently employed and want to stay discreet. LinkedIn’s Recruiter tool actively prioritizes candidates with this flag turned on, making you significantly more visible in candidate pools without alerting your current boss.

Once you learn how to shop directly from China, E.g Temù or shien your wardrobe changes completely. Call me cheap I don't care I ain't rich, I don't do fraud.😭 It's knowing what to search for. Here's my style after making plenty of mistakes. 1. T-shirts: Skip 100% polyester unless you're buying gym wear. Instead, search: • 100% Cotton • Combed Cotton • Heavyweight Cotton • 240-300 GSM Cotton • Premium Cotton • Mercerized Cotton The heavier the GSM, the thicker and more premium the shirt usually feels. 2. Jeans: Denim Jeans Temu is surprisingly good for denim if you know what to search. Search: • Denim Jeans • Cotton Denim • Raw Denim • Selvedge Denim (if available) • 98% Cotton + 2% Elastane • 99% Cotton Avoid jeans with high polyester content. The more cotton, the better they'll age and feel. 3. Body-hug clothing: Search: • Ribbed Knit • Modal • Viscose Blend • Cotton-Spandex Blend They hold their shape much better than cheap polyester. 4. Hoodies Search: • 400 GSM • French Terry • Cotton Fleece • Heavyweight Hoodie 5. Chains Search: • 316L Stainless Steel • Titanium Steel • PVD Gold Plated • Vacuum Plated These are far more resistant to fading than ordinary fashion jewelry. 6. Earrings Search: • 925 Sterling Silver • 316L Stainless Steel • Hypoallergenic • Moissanite (if you're buying stones) 7. Scarves Search: • Mulberry Silk • Silk Blend • Cashmere Blend • Wool Blend • Viscose Avoid the shiny, thin polyester scarves if you're after a premium look. 8. Loafers Search: • Genuine Leather • Cow Leather • Full Grain Leather (rare but worth looking for) • Rubber Outsole 9. Sneakers Search: • Rubber Outsole • EVA Midsole • Breathable Mesh • Leather Upper • Stitched Sole Pictures lie a lot The description usually tells the truth. Here's how I shop: 1. Read the material composition before anything else. 2. Sort by Most Orders or Best Selling, not cheapest. 3. Only buy products with lots of reviews or pictures or even better when a Nigerian has purchased it before they always tell the truth. 4. Read the 1-star reviews first. They'll tell you what the seller won't. 5. Look at customer photos, not the product photos. 6. Check the weight of the product. Better quality clothing is often heavier. 7. Read the size chart. Don't assume your Nigerian size matches. 8. If the title has words like "luxury," "premium," or "designer" but the material is 100% polyester, not everything but still move on. Your best friend isn't the product picture. It's the material, the reviews, and the customer photos. That's how you separate the gems from the junk. I hope this help. Things are to expensive for a country this poor.
