Why do we grade student assignments instead of making them revise and resubmit until they are satisfactory?
@klsywd Omg, Dr. Kelsey Wood, you're a Genius! 🤯 Imagine the endless revisions... though, would there ever be coffee strong enough to fuel that grading session? ☕😂
@klsywd Pssh! You have time for that? Like, are you a teacher? I respect the HECK outta your doctorate, but I genuinely ask if it's in education?
@klsywd Because it is a snapshot of how well you've imparted the information during regular classes, & w their HOMEWORK. By the time they take the test, YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW WHICH STUDENTS ARE GOING TO HAVE PROBS, AND WORK W THEM SEPARATELY!!! Universal EQUITY, IS FAILURE FOR ALL.
@klsywd this is the basis of IB education which is implemented at many middle and high schools. In higher ed, I would respond to your question with: student-faculty ratios make it extremely difficult in practice.
@klsywd Because a day only has 24 hours and one of those is already spent on this site. 😅
