Reliance on “boycotting” and “protests” to solve our problems causes us to lose focus on actual solutions to those very problems. Those actively promoting these techniques were the same people who were advocating democratic involvement to solve our problems; did that work? They supporting the Arab Spring; did that work? When we as Salafis, dissuade people from relying on these western techniques to bring about sustainable change, it is not because we don’t care about the Ummah, or we don’t care about our brothers and sisters in Gaza or elsewhere. It pains us to see their condition. We remember them in our supplications and ask Allah to aid them and safeguard them! It is because if we rely on these techniques, we will ignore actual solutions, as found in the Quran and the Sunnah to solve our problems. Astonishing that these activists have such a great problem with us advising the Muslims with du’aa, salah, correcting their affairs, and returning back to the religion of Allah. Umar bin Al-Khatab رضي الله عنه said to Abu Ubaidah رضي الله عنه: We are a people that Allah honored with Islam. Whenever we seek honor by other than Islam, Allah will humiliate us. Elon Musk is @elonmusk. He is not your ally nor savior. Many Muslims are upset at his recent comments, but what did we actually expect from him? Is he governed by Islam? Is he governed by principles and morals? He is a businessman and investor. However, this does not qualify him to solve the humanitarian disaster in Gaza nor validate his opinions. This mentality is one of the underlying reasons for our current predicament and weakness. As a nation we are constantly raising and idolizing unfit and unqualified individuals, then when they are proven to be unworthy we swiftly drop them, causing more confusion and desperation among an already vulnerable audience. The same was done with Jordan Peterson, Lebron James, and others. What did Allah say about those amazed by the wealth of Qarun (Al-Qasas: 79-83)? This mindset has been spoken about in the Quran, but do we read the Book of Allah? Instead of attaching prestige and importance to the opinions and views of our senior scholars, Muslim influencers have us racing to listen to teenage celebrities, rappers, athletes, billionaires and political commentators. The Prophet ﷺ spoke about a time when the masses will take the unlearned as their leaders: “They will be asked questions, and thus give rulings without knowledge. They will go astray and lead others astray.” Bukhari and Muslim There is a verse in the Quran to help us navigate during turbulent times: “And when there comes to them information about security or fear, they publicize it. Had they referred it back to the Messenger or to those in authority among them, then the proper investigators would have (correctly) understood it. Had it not been for the Grace of Allah upon you and His Mercy, you would have followed Satan, except for a few.” (Al-Nisa: 83) When we ignore these directives in our fervent desire to aid the weak and oppressed, we will potentially follow the footsteps of the Devil, and have ourselves and our listeners running around like headless chickens. We all need to learn, read, understand and ponder upon the Quran more, and apply it both in our lives and to the current dilemmas facing us and our nation.

What we actually find in many American salafi communities: Even in our somewhat blighted inner-cities full of “hobos, crackheads, etc (per certain irrelevant trolls)…” where many were born & raised, we find well-educated, skilled professionals and entrepreneurial men and women, many of whom—with Allah’s guidance & grace—pulled themselves up by their bootstraps despite their tumultuous environments. A good many of them have reached early and later elderhood. Many are proud grandparents and even great grandparents to Salafi children that are the coolness of the eye. Some American Salafi children even had great-great grandparents who were from the pioneering generation in this blessed da’wah (making them a fifth generation of American Muslims). May Allah protect us & allow us to die as Muslims. Although highly sympathetic to the constant turmoil in the Muslim world, (many of them having survived their fair share of traumas prior to Islam) they are measured in speech and do not engage in performative outrage (contrary to many foolish youth on social media who pretend to care more about international crises more than the Muslim scholars, rulers and laypeople, combined). They have a strong passion for religious knowledge & spend their days with Quran, Arabic & Islamic sciences. May Allah make us all better & increase our zeal. Despite having limited resources because of constantly-rising costs of living and the fact they don’t typically cut the same corners that so many Muslims do (such indulging in riba-based student loans, small-business loans, mortgages, etc.), they financially contribute quite graciously for the establishment of needed community projects. We have our fair share of problems & challenges, and are all VERY FAR from perfect, but are grateful to be alive & free, & to have escaped the chaos that consumed many of our peers. That certain lost souls would crookedly move their nasty mouths to spew vile & slanderous accusations—to the extent of questioning our Islam (labeling us as spies, agents, munafiqs, etc.)—is nothing new and just another sign of the times. They cannot escape Allah. Most of us accepted Islam on their own and were scorned & shunned by their non Muslim families & by the broader society, having freed ourselves from the cultural toxins of society and from shirk & its people, with many taking the means to seek knowledge in Muslim lands and even the serious step of permanently moving to Muslim lands. All of this is from Allah’s kindness & guidance, & He alone is worthy of thanks & praise. I don’t know which blessing is greater: guidance to Islam or being spared from the deviant ideologies of performative social activism that so many have half-wits been afflicted with on the interwebs. May Allah unite the hearts on what He loves and remove humiliation from the Muslims in every place.

Why Iran or their proxy networks can never be trusted to aid the Palestinian plight. In order to fully grasp the reality of Iran we will concisely prove why they cannot be trusted: religiously, historically and geopolitically. May Allah protect the honorable Palestinian people.
