Why we built sending dollars to phone numbers. Most money apps assume you have a smartphone and internet. Hundreds of millions of people don't. Sending money home still means high fees, slow transfers, and a currency that loses value. So imagine this: you send $50 to your grandma back home. She has a basic phone and no data. She gets a text: the dollars arrived. She dials a short code, enters her PIN, checks her balance, and pays. No app, no internet. And anyone she knows can do the same. She cashes out to mobile money or local cash when she needs it. Dollars in, local money out, on any phone. It settles on Monad in about a second, and Kova pays the fees.
