Mr. Wekesa, I truly sympathize with you, for few have carried our entire tourism industry on their shoulders like you have. But the clout & credibility you’ve earned while at it give you no licence to scapegoat victims of this crisis, let alone to insult their intelligence. 1/12

~Ugandans are abducted, kept incommunicado, tortured, and some are never seen again. ~Those in power gloat on social media about torture, killings, and violence against innocent citizens, with pictorial evidence. ~Opposition politicians are openly threatened with death, arrest, and torture. ~Opposition politicians are forced into exile to escape death threats. ~ Courts have become centers of miscarriages of justice. ~The biggest independent media house is shut down through a tweet by the head of the military without any regard for due process. ~The head of the military publicly states that he doesn’t believe in a free press. ~The military chief threatens foreign envoys, incites Ugandans to march on foreign embassies, and threatens to sever ties with certain countries at will. ~ The state passed the so-called “Protection of Sovereignty Law”. All this happened under your watch and you cheered it on. Citizens have been wailing, but you chose to mind your own business. Now that the adverse effects of what you chose to ignore have reached your doorstep, you remember that we’re in this together! Well, you’re a little too late. “One Uganda, one suffer”.

One day this impunity will come to an end. And when it does, what a day of Jubilation that will be!

We shall never see the Uganda we want until we develop a central nervous system that enables us to feel each other's pain.

When people say “stop being political,” they usually mean: “Things are fine for me, and I don’t like being reminded that others are suffering because of this system.”

Museveni is somewhere thinking the 7 million Ugandans that he claims voted for him are finally celebrating his win.

They've done it all. Rigged, killed, jailed, "won", but they're still sadder and more unsettled than the "minority losers". Time😂

Always knowing what the opposition should do, how they fall short and aren't articulate enough. While praising the reign responsible for no civic education, an imbalanced play field, turning a blind eye on the gross human rights abuses. Just own up to what you like in peace.

What brings me the most satisfaction is knowing his legacy is forever tethered to that drunk of a son. All that power and the rot still came from within. Nothing delights me quite like knowing that might be his greatest embarrassment.

A bad government will kill you like it will kill me. Its police will clobber you like they will clobber me. They will abduct and shoot your brothers like they will shoot my brothers. They will make your mothers cry like they make our mothers cry. Nobody is spared from tyranny.

There is a video of a guy whose girlfriend broke up with him because she feels the guy is so childish and that he must go back to crèche, so this guy decided to spend a day in crèche. 😂😭 Ngl, it finished me.
