Little known secret: JJ Abrams was replaced during production of the Lost pilot by his evil twin JJ Abramson. The same thing happened with Director of Photography Larry Fong, who was replaced by Lawrence Fongo and Flawrence Fong.
Lost History: 20 years ago today the Lost crew wrapped production after 32 days of filming. Against all odds the pilot was now in the can and "only" needed to be turned into a proper movie to present it to the network. linktr.ee/815doc

I believe most of the later season group photos were individual shots and photoshopped into the same photo (a composite)
