If you have been following me since last NBA season, this Wallace 3pt attempts prop needs no introduction & NOW with Dort/Joe/Wiggins gone, Caso has a clear path to consistent PT + more responsibility as a floor spacer alongside both SGA & Jdubs He was also labeled as a starter for today’s game Notably, Daigneault has made his confidence in Caso clear: “He’s somebody that I trust as much as anybody.” And Kenrich Williams also pointed to Caso’s progress in camp when naming him his top breakout candidate Now, I expect Castle to handle much of the SGA assignment, with Wallace spacing the floor off the ball Wallace can benefit when > his man commits to helping inside, creating room for him to relocate into a passing lane and get a 3 up off the kickout We’ve also already seen encouraging volume in preseason: 4 3PA in 18 minutes against MIL and 5 in 20 against IND. 9 of his 15 shots came from three, exactly the shot profile I’m looking for as his role grows

I really like how this Pacers roster fits with Hali finally back running the offense If IND stays healthy, I would NOT be surprised to see them make another DEEP playoff run… just like they did two seasons ago Much of the core that won 50 games & reached the Finals two seasons ago remains, which gives R. Carlisle an established group to build around And replacing Turner with Zubac adds a lot more physicality inside… AND I like how his screening, finishing and rebounding fit alongside this squad This roster has enough talent and familiarity to reach 45 wins without needing to replicate its 2025 Finals run Health is the biggest variable, but I trust Carlisle to put them back among the East’s better teams

The biggest thing that caught my attention here is Ty Lue challenging Rui to average 7–8 rebs this season Garland brought up that expectation, and Rui himself said rebounding was one of the first things the coaching staff discussed with him when he arrived And overall that gives me reason to expect more involvement on the glass entering this season We’ve already seen some encouraging signs in preseason… with Rui grabbing > 5 boards in 15 minutes vs GSW, 3 in 19 vs TOR, 5 in 24 vs DEN Notably, what stands out most to me is the DEN game, where he had 11 reb chances, including 10 defensively. He finished with 5 without needing to convert an unusually high percentage of his opportunities With Ingram and Strus sidelined, I expect Rui to get substantial minutes on the wing and at PF Sabonis presents a challenge on the offensive glass, but if Jackson occupies him inside, Rui has opportunities to collect misses from the weak side

Yeah, I’d expect the bigger shift in his playmaking workload. If Bron handles more of the organizing, Maxey could see fewer asts opportunities + potentially fewer turnovers while still getting plenty of shots off the C&S and attacking tilted defenses. Less time on the ball doesn’t necessarily mean less scoring
