Winter is diagnosed with shingles which comes from the varicella-zoster virus. After someone has chickenpox, the virus can stay dormant in their nerves for years without causing any symptoms. It can later become active again and develop into these rashes/ blisters called shingles

Don’t listen to her or we’ll all get chicken pox. Imagine trying to defend her by trying to say shingles isn’t contagious when it can give you chicken pox that then leads to shingles. It can lay dormant for years and then you get shingles. Everybody with shingles had chicken pox.
