Winds will turn SE this afternoon, so there may be a few breaks of sun across northern MD, southeastern PA and the LSV after 2-3 PM. However, most of the day will be cloudy, but at least temps should be higher and reach the low-to-mid 70s for most. Nothing on radar.. for now..

Reduce speed and increase following distance on the wet roads today to minimize the risk of hydroplaning and/or an accident. Be alert for standing water in some low-lying, urban- and poor-drainage areas, as well. #DriveSafe #pawx

Due to the continued onslaught of showers and storms since June 6, nearly all of the Lower Susquehanna Valley is no longer even in the "abnormally dry" category on the U.S. Drought Monitor. The tiny pocket of "moderate drought" in northern MD should vanish this week or next.

Since Friday morning, a general 0.25-1.00" of rain has fallen across much of northern MD, southeastern PA and the LSV. However, the region has been surrounded by much heavier showers and locally drenching thunderstorms and, therefore, higher rainfall totals.

Moist, easterly flow off the Atlantic will continue to plague northern MD, southeastern PA and the LSV today. As a result, low clouds, drizzle and areas of steadier, light rain will accompany high temps in the mid-to-upper 60s.. about 15°F below average for mid-June. Yuck! #pawx

#HappyFathersDay2025! The weather is certainly not great by mid-June standards, but at least it’s not raining across most of northern MD, southeastern PA & the LSV. However, easterly flow off the Atlantic will cause low clouds to hang tough, & highs will generally be in the 60s.

The high pressure system will remain in control of our weather tomorrow, but a light, SW breeze will pump hotter and more humid air into the LSV. High temperatures and dewpoints should be in the upper 80s and low-to-mid 60s, respectively, Thurs afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
