NPR's Woke CEO Katherine Maher explains how we now live in a post-truth world. (Just in case you're wondering what happened to Wikipedia.)
@kylenabecker Try that out in a Muslim state like Iran, Pakistan or Saudi and see how it will end.
What if the common ground is a lie, and you base everything you do off that... That's just bad. I feel a lot our history is based on lies and fiction, and we are basing a lot of our truths off falsified realities. This is a problem and we should not endorse nor encourage this stupid notion of a "post-truth world".
@kylenabecker She also says the biggest challenge in the United States is the 1st Amendment
This woman’s discussion of truth is simply - and completely - a restatement of Plato’s “each man is the measure of all things, things that are as they are, and things that are not as they are not.” It is the view of the sophists, those that brought about the collapse of Athens along pseudo philosophical lines. If you catch the drift of her argument, it is a commitment to keeping folks in the dialectical churn designed to negate the culture. Then take note, she’s the CEO of NPR.
@kylenabecker Defund this trash
@kylenabecker How many years have the Republicans had to shut this propaganda down?
@kylenabecker Female agreeableness and desire for common ground evolved in the family unit, where genetic interests are aligned. Once you scale beyond that, moral hazard takes place and suddenly truth matters.
@kylenabecker This speech would be so much more effective if she was topless.
