Because this may ruffle some people. Founders give up for many reasons: no traction, sick of it, product issues, team challenges, customer revolt, burnout, investor turmoil, interest rates, board dynamics, capital stacks, co-founder fights, runway, competitive pressure etc. But they never truly die and fail until a founder says so.
