We've a new paper on BioRxiv analysing Ice2, a fungal protein implicated in Inheritance of Cortical ER (hence named ICE) We found Ice2 is a variant of SERINCs, ubiquitous proteins that strongly restrict HIV infection. biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh… Ice2 has no features of a tether.
