Anyone have a prickly pear plant they’d be willing to share a piece of? Happy to trade for some of mine or a cutting from an indoor plant! Been nursing my prickly pear for years and it finally flowered, just for me to learn you need 2 genetically distinct plants to get fruit 🫠

Writing up my dissertation. I tried ~10 DNA extraction protocols on my sediments, & named one the “Frankenstein” protocol b/c it was a mix of (what I thought were the best parts of) the other protocols. Can I call it the Frankenstein protocol in my diss. (Supp. Methods)?

This is what I get for trying to take a cute pic with my dogs 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 But for real I’m not sure what I did to deserve these dogs but boy am I thankful for them. Was really in a funk today and a walk + grass cuddle sesh has made a world of difference.

Ran out of willpower to troubleshoot as nothing was working. Tried re-installing the program from scratch for the 20th time today out of pure desperation and it installed no problem 🙃

Me explaining to my advisor how, in trying to get a new command to run, I screwed up the install of a program I’ve had running successfully for months & now it won’t re-install properly and I’m troubleshooting that, thus I’ve made little progress in the last week. HAPPY MONDAY 🫠
