@langstonwertzjr I’m probably missing something, but it looks like the inability to think about securing more than one site will now have games happening and/or necessary travel during school hours? Is that accurate?
Last year regional finals were at school sites with overcrowding, people buying tickets and not getting in, etc State moved to a one week format, approved by membership, with all games at a large site as a measured response. The nchsaa lost much of its ability and wiggle room to procure sites when Republican lawmakers passed a bill that stripped the association of considerable power. Getting a large venue is expensive and difficult to start with. Probably more difficult under new rules. That said, this format and these times, are similar to a few other states. Kids will have to get out of school early. Not sure they will mind Parents will have take a vacation day or leave work early, something we do for ACC/NCAA, etc I think it will be fine and is better than alternative It’s just new here
@langstonwertzjr Understood, lots of red tape. I won’t get into who is right or wrong about the NCHSAA losing power, will just say they did clearly fumble a lot of big things. However, I get this format and just hope schools can accommodate the students who want to go watch.
