When creating flashcards, do you you separate cards for homonyms? The Korean word for "plural" is the same as the word for "revenge" (ė³µģ - bok-su). Should that be one flashcard or two?
This is actually kinda true. At least for getting to upper intermediate level mandarin. If you invest heavily with learning characters and vocab, you can get pretty good without ever encountering complex grammar

Them: Immersion is the best way to learn a language! Me: Stop at the first word or grammar I don't know and spend 20 minutes learning about it, getting tired, and forgetting where I started
I've seen a lot of hot takes saying AI will mean people won't learn languages anymore. My hot take is that AI will have a negligible impact on the number of people who actually decide to learn languages. You've been able to get by with technology for a long time.
