To lose weight , you must eat fewer calories than you burn. But if you eat way too little, your body doesn’t just continue to burn calories, it adapts to the new caloric intake and that becomes your new caloric baseline. As we know, you must eat below baseline to lose weight, so if your body adapts to eating too little, almost everything you eat becomes more calories than you burn, and seeing as the calories can’t evaporate, they are stored as bodyfat. This is why you often hear fat people say “ I don’t eat a lot but I blow up”, or complain that they followed a diet for a while, lost weight, but gained it all back. It’s because you have fucked up your metabolism with all the yo-yo dieting and juice cleanse and 30 days fruit and water fast. Lift weights, build muscle, get stronger. To do this effectively, you must eat sufficient protein, carbs and healthy fats to fuel your performance and recovery. First, you need tight interfaces between the agent and your existing systems. That means well-scoped APIs, stable data contracts, and observability hooks. If your backend isn’t agent-ready, your rollout won’t be either. Second, every agent in production needs a supervisor pattern. Who owns its behavior? Who intervenes when it fails? Escalation policies, fallback procedures, and human-in-the-loop design aren’t extras - they’re production requirements. Third, you need a measurement layer. Pilots track completion. Production tracks impact. You should understand how the agent affects throughput, cost per task, time to resolution, and satisfaction, not just quarterly, but continuously. Finally, expect agents to change. Fast. New tasks, new tools, new context. If your deployment is static, your agent is already falling behind. Pilots are playgrounds. Production is performance. And making that leap is what separates AI experiments from actual transformation.
