sometimes I wonder how many people that’re so squeamish & weird about children are autistic people with unmet sensory needs / social anxiety same with dog people that bring them everywhere

@laurenancona Many people benefit from use of a service dog, whether they’re under treatment now or have been. For the PTSD vets I know, it’s kind of key. Since the dog anchors me and prevents disassociation and allows me to remain in public. We do actually need them.
@laurenancona It’s occasionally nice to have a child-free environment because not everyone wants to be around kids 24/7.
@laurenancona The sensory experience of parenting a small child is actually bone chilling stuff. -67/10 do not recommend
@laurenancona As an autistic person who hangs out in coffee shops with my lump of a dog, I can see the logic here, especially as I sit in said coffee shops with NC headphones.
