We spend a lot of time asking "is this someone I can trust?" - and often, rightfully so. But I don't think we spend enough time asking "am I someone that people can trust?" - and that matters. Every trusting relationship requires trustworthiness form both sides.

For every class I have ever taught, the final assignment has been a science communication project. The students have to select a topic related to the class and communicate - using any media they'd like - accurate and accessible info from 5 empirical articles on the topic.

My Grandma Stanley died 5 years ago today. I don't think it gets easier with time. You move forward and it hits you differently. The other night I started crying in the shower. I hadn't done that in a long time. My heart goes out to all that are missing someone.

It's the time of year when I really miss being back in Bruce County and part of the agricultural community. The hustle of getting fields ready for planting and the warm sunshine that is a relief after winter. There really is nothing like spring and fall on the farm!

I spent $328.80 on masks last year. A small price to pay (almost $1/day) for my health. Feeling fortunate to be able to do this, but it needs to be recognized the burden this could have on some folks.
