@kevvOH_ Web development has hard problems like query performance, real time sync, and security. Most software is crud and making it fast at scale is real engineering. The ceiling is curiosity, not the medium. And coding is learned through practice, not a gift

@p_ch A lot of people still think of the web as it was in 2015. Today browsers run complex software, full games with GPU acceleration, and PWAs that work offline, install to your home screen, and feel like native apps. The web platform has grown up

@ninepointlabs @p_ch Until your internet goes out and the app keeps working anyway. Service workers + IndexedDB have been doing offline webapps for years

@fullstacklover Rust, because it works with the developer before production. The compiler catches a lot of mistakes before they ever make it into prod

@tomhaxxx @dhh Dioxus, Leptos? Heard of them? They’re actually faster than React and Next js in several benchmarks

@stanlee0nX Peak of all human invention " is a bold claim, and history is full of people declaring the peak right before the next breakthrough. Quantum computing is one candidate, but there will likely be things nobody has thought of yet.

@codewith55 Postgres is the constant in all four. The real choice is how much complexity you want to carry before you have users.

@zack_overflow Compile time is the price of the compiler catching what agents would otherwise ship. With agents writing code at volume, a strict type system and borrow checker is the best automated reviewer you can get. A slow build beats a fast bug you find in prod.
