@CorLeonis92 As for the movement, I am one participant in it, like anyone else, if you think my participation = hijacking, I can't help.

@CorLeonis92 You did make it, it has been changed. It was made before non-profit existed which is why it wasn't taken down at their request.

And STILL it's queer fans that get called out. Not creators who killed a new one on Friday, not m/f shippers, not media that failed us.

If anyone wants a discussion about things that have been "harmful" to queer fandom, I have a spreadsheet 530 lines long and a list of names

26 queer women were killed on TV last season. 8 this season. More TV lesbians sleeping with men than wlw happy endings.

deaths and tropes, glorifying subtext, failing to blacklist shows, and calling fans entitled, how it contributed to the current TV landscape

If we're looking inside f/f fandoms, one day we should talk about how years of LGBT sites enabling & excusing content creators, excusing

Why is an increasing number of older lgbt ppl constantly telling young lgbt ppl that they're shallow for wanting to see an f/f couple kiss

lexafix Profile Picture

Alex @lexafix

@jennnwho b/c there's a large subset of content creators who exploited and profited from that "subtext" support for years &that's negative

tl:dr QUEER FANS ARE SEARCHING FOR BETTER BECAUSE WE KNOW IT IS POSSIBLE NOW, EVEN IF WE KEEP GETTING IT AND THEN HAVING IT BE TAKEN AWAY.

Dear ex-POI fans who joined the show for Shoot and hoped for "kissing and sex and love confessions.” Please keep migrating and doing that 👏

@anamatics @JMPkru @DanaPiccoli @jennnwho how many examples of wlw couples who do kiss and behave as couples should can you name, on tv rn?

lexafix Profile Picture

Alex @lexafix

@DanaPiccoli @anamatics maybe the important questions shouldn't be directed at fans looking for rep and having to "migrate" to find *any*

lexafix Profile Picture

Alex @lexafix

@DanaPiccoli @anamatics An article about queer fans "hurting" queer fandom 3 days after another lesbian sweeps kiss + death.

lexafix Profile Picture

Alex @lexafix

And because we only get 1-2 half decent examples at a time so anyone who wants to see themselves on TV in some form has to cling to those.

lexafix Profile Picture

Alex @lexafix

Migration in most cases happens because shows fuck over queer fans and leave them in the dust with dead or written off characters.

lexafix Profile Picture

Alex @lexafix

The latter: written by straight men for straight men's enjoyment. The former: young queer fans looking for good rep and failing to find it.

Nah, what's ruining queer fandom are articles such as this. Placing blame on fan migration and equating that to f/f sexualization on TV x.com/bellabooks/sta…
