Pensions are not a benefit. They are paid into over time during your working career. This generation's workers pay it forward to the retired people now. The next generation will pay for yours.

@rainie1410 Hi Lorraine Retired Pension Manager here State Pension is a benefit, has always been deemed a benefit and you don’t “pay into it”. You accrue rights to a level of pension according to your NI contributions. Continuously saying something isn’t, doesn’t make you right
@likesretirement JSA and ESA are benefits and are time limited. You are entitled to your pension at the age of retirement if you have paid into the system and you get it for the rest of your life. Please stop feeding into this narrative
