The Supreme Court majority not only doesn't keep its word, it doesn't care about the public. We've seen this over and over, critically on abortion and on immunity, where a majority of Americans agree: women should make their own health care decisions and no one is above the law.

The SCT just dealt a huge blow to regular Americans. By reversing a rule invoked 15K times to protect Americans from industry lawsuits, the SCT preferenced corporations, leaving agencies without a key tool to protect essentials like health and climate. nytimes.com/live/2024/06/2…

This decision should have been unanimous, if unelected judges should decide issues of personal freedom at all. Still, it’s a relief that for now, emergency medical care is not about politics or location. Congress must act to protect abortion ASAP. nytimes.com/2024/06/27/us/…
