Nestlé has been adding sugar and honey to infant milk and cereal products sold in poorer countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. This is against international guidelines to prevent obesity and chronic illnesses. The company hasn't added it to products sold in Europe. Wow.
@lorrainemking Nestle's history around baby milk products in Africa is horrendous. They have convinced mothers to use their products and the mothers natural milk production stops... lack of money and safe water for making formula has cost many infant lives. voxdev.org/topic/health/d…
@lorrainemking If you don't introduce your child to sugar, that child will never know about sugar and when they do it will not be their favorite thing. Nestle know that and since their industry is about sugar they want early addiction 😳😳🤕
@lorrainemking What even is the point of them doing this? Is buying the formula not enough?
@lorrainemking And they wonder why there’s so much distrust
@lorrainemking They could always breastfeed
