Don’t know if this was shown on the coverage, but this is after he berated him when the goal went in. And then again gave it to the kid at full time, physically pushing him away causing him to burst into tears. But he reckons there’s ‘not much he can say’ to his players…

This is a brilliantly written statement, and this is one of the best points. Anyone involved in the NPL space will know every DM is coached to be the exact same. Fight for every ball, play the same passes to a bombing right back when playing out. No creativity, never different

There is a certain reticence in the A-League to give regular starts and minutes to a certain type of young player. It is no coincidence that these players are of the type that the Socceroos lack: - Technical, risk-taking midfielders - Centre-forwards - Ball-playing centre-backs

There's been a lot said about Graham Arnold's recent comments. Many have said that it is unfair to criticise the developmental quality of the A-League, given that all but one Australian-raised Socceroo has played in it. But that is simply because there is no alternative. 1/11.
