@Rer34 Wow. Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what the deal is with this fandom & towards Jessica Vosk/Lute. That's crazy.

@Rer34 monument isn’t supposed to be ironic within the theory; they basically have to rewrite the relationship into “actually, we’re friends now.”

@Rer34 The Rosie/Eve theory usually gets around that by arguing that she’s actually on good terms with the Morningstars now, that whatever happened between them was resolved a long time ago, & that she eventually reconciled with them and even helped Lilith in some capacity. So the +

@Rer34 Oh yeah absolutely: the simple fact is, that the fandom doesn't care or like Lute (meaning, the character) as is. That's kind of what it boils down to.

What sucks is that the fandom barely even entertains the possibility because they’ve already decided exactly who Lute is & what Eve is supposed to be, or they’re more invested in versions of Eve or Lute they can project onto. Man, it’s frustrating watching the one theory with +

Even if you choose to ignore all the other evidence, the fact that Lute’s own VA has alluded to the Lute/Eve theory twice already puts her in a completely different evidentiary category. Objectively speaking, Lute has the strongest case of the existing Eve identity theories. +

@Rer34 explain or excuse Lilith’s actions, while Rosie/Eve has been steadily gaining traction as an alternative. Everyone keeps overlooking the candidate with objectively stronger evidence behind her: Lute. If nothing else, the fact that Lute’s own VA has alluded to the Lute/Eve +

@Rer34 People latched onto Rosie’s “Who hasn’t thought about eating their first husband?” line, the “surpassingly motherly” description in her audition sheet, & the alleged leak claiming she has a connection to Eve, & took all of that to mean she must secretly be either Eve or Lilith.

This is all I remember whenever I hear (or re-hear) the Lilith/Eve/Rosie switcheroo/wife-swap plotline.

Anyway: Adam is pretty well written, but people either pretend he is not, or they say he's not because it's not what they personally want. I've seen almost nobody talk about: "I started EVERYTHING on Earth! You all should be worshiping me! You ungrateful disgusting LOSERS!"

When describing Lute & Adam’s respective styles of rock, Sam described Adam as “boorish & ignorant” as a villain, & honestly that really stands out to me specifically because of the Eve theory. Sam is basically describing Adam as somebody emotionally immature, impulsive, +

Hot take that I'm bringing back because S2 has only reinforced it for me: I genuinely think Adam is a glorified mascot. I know Adam fans don't like hearing that because he's the First Man, but I'm talking strictly about what the show actually presents. +

I wouldn't mind at all if the entire Eden family [ Adam, Eve, Cain, Seth, etc ] turned out to be just as loud, brash, rude, & difficult as Adam. Meanwhile Abel is the only kind person. Y'all ever watch La Familia P. Luche? 😂 "¡Ay Abel! ¿Por qué no eres un niño normal?"

#HazbinHotel #HazbinHotelAdam — The narrative does give us material for this: I strongly believe Adam having always been abrasive & essentially a spoiled child. Not malicious, not inherently cruel, but operating with zero correction & a constant sense of entitlement.

What I’m noticing is that people keep trying to reframe Adam into a very specific archetype: the one who commits extreme acts because he’s either being forced into it or because he sincerely believes he’s upholding some greater moral order.

#HazbinHotelAdam #HazbinHotel — I’ve noticed the fandom has already largely settled on the idea that Adam must be a tragic figure. The show could very easily reveal that Adam was once softer, more well-intentioned before things went wrong.
