So many people seem confused about the treaties and FN land so let’s make this very clear. First Nation land is under federal jurisdiction and governed by a relationship with the crown. Alberta doesn’t get to just separate and take Indigenous land with them.

Why invite the King to open the Canadian Parliament? A few thoughts. 1) We keep talking about the importance of our institutions, and strengthening trust and understanding of them. The Crown is a core institution within the Canadian constitution.
