Please. As a bereaved parent watching some of these interviews, and hearing how reporters and anchors speak about the dead, grieving families, and survivors, I just cringe. It’s so insensitive at best—damaging to victims at worst.

👋 @BrunoMars @silksonic Mother's Day was unbearable. My 9yo son, Eli, died 8 months ago from a brain tumor. He LOVED you!! His favorite song was #JustTheWayYouAre, he would say "eyes, eyes" when he was a baby. Can Eli get a shout out on Friday13th? I will be up front!! RT!!

Check on your friends who were grieving a few years ago. They’re still grieving now. The pain didn’t go away. Most people have simply stopped seeing it.
