Controversial, but I strongly suspect the collapsing birth rate is in large part due to our modern extended adolescence (extending to 18 and beyond) making natural pair-bonding for women impossible. For all of human history until five minutes ago, pair-bonding began around 15-16.

Women entering the workforce has completely destroyed quality of life for Americans 1. Two incomes became the new one income. Once everyone had to work, employers and banks raised prices. Houses doubled. Families didn’t get ahead. They just ran harder to stay in place. 2. Kids

There are questions I want to ask my parents about my childhood. About the things they did. I'm sure they won't answer honestly though, so I assume the worse option for each scenario. Parents, don't lose the trust of your kid.
